for the owner of a construction company, this project has unique
requirements of accommodating his public offices, guest rooms and
family residence. The functions are organized around several courtyards
which provide outdoor living spaces for the various public and private
uses. The project is sited to provide maximum privacy, access to
sunlight and protection from prevailing winds, which combine with
strict zoning and sunshading laws to create the highly specific
form of the structure. The interior spaces are united beneath a
single, flowing roof form that follows the slope of the site, rising
and falling to accommodate the solar envelope limitations. |
