Anderson Anderson has a long history of involvement in community based design projects, and in the design and construction of small-scale urban structures, temporary facilities, and public art projects. We have also designed larger projects for universities and churches, and have recently won a Progressive Architecture design award for the design of a small community center in Detroit. Other recent projects included renovations at the state capitol building in Hawaii; and designs for a science education facility at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, and for a new school of art and architecture, and central library for Judson College near Chicago. At the core of out commitment to these projects, is a strong sense of responsibility to communities, and the cultural and spiritual significance of public space in the city, in nature, and in institutions of scholarship and religion.
